Well done Sapphire for a brilliant half term! You have settled into Year 5 wonderfully and are constantly showing The Tithe Farm Way. I am very proud of the work you have achieved so far and for performing your class assembly beautifully!
Next half term looks very exciting, and I am looking forward to delving into the new topics with you.
In addition to the topics we will be learning in school, you will also have weekly English and maths homework to complete on Atom Learning. You will receive your login details after half term. The homework will be given on a Wednesday and will be due the following Wednesday. Those who do not submit on time will have the opportunity to complete it at Homework Club on a Thursday.
As well as weekly maths and English homework, we will still be expecting you to complete 5 weekly reads, where an adult must sign your reading log. Additionally, you will have your weekly spellings and should be practicing your timetables on TT Rockstars.
Our PE days are still Tuesday and Wednesday, so please come into school in your PE kit on those days.
I hope you have a lovely half term and I am looking forward to seeing you all when we are back.
September 2022
Welcome to the Sapphire class page!
We are very excited to welcome you all back after the summer and are looking forward to meeting you all!
Sapphire class will be taught by Miss Sharp and will be supported by Miss Conway, Mrs Coleman and Miss Clarke. On Thursday, you will be taught by Miss Curtis.
As you are now in Year 5, you have the option of walking home on your own - we will need permission from your parents to allow us to let you leave unsupervised. Please either ask your parent/carer to complete the Google Form or bring in a permission slip.
PE days will be Tuesday (outdoors) and Wednesday (indoors) - please come into school dressed in your school PE kits.
We expect you to be reading five times a week at home. Please ensure your parent/carer signs your reading log. These will be checked on a Monday morning and if you have not read 5 times at home, you will miss a lunch time.
Spellings will be given on a Monday for you to learn in preparation for the spelling test on the following Friday.
Information regarding homework will be shared in the upcoming weeks. A homework questionnaire has been sent to parents/carers to complete.
Our class assembly will be taking place at 10.15 on Friday 7th October. Please let your parents/carers know that they are welcome to come and watch!
