Welcome to Pearl Class page 2022-2023!
Your class teacher will be Miss Thompson.
Staff supporting in Year 1 this year will be:-Miss Litchfield, Mrs Hart, Mrs Niculcea, Mrs Tilcock, Miss Clarke and Mrs Smith. The support staff will be supporting in both Year 1 classes.
We like to have lots of fun in our classroom whilst we complete our activities.
We have PE twice a week, on Mondays and Tuesdays. We will need to come into school in our PE kit on these days. Our PE kits need to have black shorts/joggers, red t-shirt, our school jumper/cardigan and black pumps.

Spring 2 Science Week Water Investigations
Oracy End Point
We would like to invite you to our class Oracy End Point on Tuesday 21st March from 2:45pm to 3:30pm. The children are preparing a short presentation on queens and castles from our topic work this term. They would also like to share the work they have completed in their Knowledge of the World books.
We hope you can come along.
Poetry Competition
Pearl class will be holding their class heats for the poetry competition this Friday, 17th March. The children need to be able to recite a poem of their choosing in front of the class. The class winner will then be put forward for the whole school competition. Good luck!
Junk Request
If possible, please collect and send in any clean plastic bottles or yoghurt pots by Thursday 16th March as part of our science week project. Thank you for your help.
History - Turrets and Tiaras
As part of our history topic, the children have learnt many facts about Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Elizabeth II. They have also used their weaving skills to create shields.
Science - Materials Double Page Spread
In science, the children have investigated everyday materials. They have produced double-page spreads showing their knowledge.
