Sapphire

Spring Term

We have been so excited to welcome the children back to school following the summer holidays! They have returned with a real enthusiasm for their learning and are keen to give everything a go. They have already taken part in a number of baseline assessments to allow for individual targets to be set and ready to be worked on.

Sapphire class will be taught by Mrs Maloney and Mr Saab.

Homework

We would like to request your support in continuing your child's learning at home through weekly homework. Homework will be set each Thursday and will be due back the following Thursday.

* Maths and English homework will be completed through the online learning platform called 'Atom'. Children's log in details are on the back of their new Learning Logs.

* Children will also be expected to read five times a week for a minimum of 15 minutes. Please ensure to sign your child's Learning Log as these will be checked daily by adults in the classroom.

* Children will be provided with weekly spelling lists which will link to their in-class spelling lessons. Spelling tests will take place on a Thursday.

* Children will be expected to complete TT Rockstars 15 minutes a week to develop their fluency of their times tables.

PE Days

Sapphire's PE days will be Wednesday and Friday. Please ensure children come into school with suitable clothing for the weather on that day. At least one of the PE sessions will be outside, even when it is cold.
