PE days will be Tuesday and Thursday - please come into school dressed in your school PE kit. On Tuesday, we will be swimming, so remember to bring your swimming costume/trunks, towel and swimming hat. Goggles are not essential but you can bring them if you'd like to. On Thursday, we will be doing cricket and will be outside for this.
Emerald class enter school through the end door, nearest the gates. Your lockers are opposite Turquoise (the other year 4) class. Once you are ready for the classroom, walk away from the hall and we are the first classroom down the corridor. Look out for the Emerald Class sign on the door!
Reading: 5 times a week is the minimum school requirement. This needs to be recorded in your Reading Record and signed by a parent or carer ready to be collected on a Wednesday morning every week.
Homework: there are four tasks to complete each week for homework. Homework is set on a Wednesday and must be submitted the following Wednesday. Children need to:
- read 5 times a week (please see above).
- practice spellings (this can be in any method, see No Nonsense Spelling strategies poster)
- Times Tables Rockstars (complete 8 garage sessions a week). Please communicate with your class teacher if the set times table is appropriate.
- Atom Learning weekly task (Maths and English tasks will alternate each week).
If you need support with Times Tables Rockstars or Atom Learning, please share this with your class teacher. If children haven't completed their homework then they are expected to attend homework club on a Thursday lunchtime to complete their homework.
All children have their user name and passwords for Times Tables Rockstars and Atom Learning stuck into their reading log. If you require an extra copy of the details then ask your class teacher.
