Beavers

Welcome to Beavers!

Hello and welcome to the Beavers class page. We are one of two Year 5 classes and there are 19 of us. Our teacher is Miss Thibeault (it's French, you don't pronounce the "lt") and our Learning Support Assistant is Miss Conway.

On Wednesdays and Fridays we have PE so make sure you have your PE kit (Red T-shirt and black shorts or tracksuit bottoms with plimsolls or trainers)

Homework will be given on a Friday for English, Maths (including times tables) and Spelling. Spelling and times tables will be tested on a Monday. All other homework will be due in on a Wednesday.

RAF Museum

On Wednesday 27th September, Year 5 journeyed to the RAF Museum in Hendon as part of our World War 2 topic. We had the opportunity to dress as members of the RAF and take part in an Air Raid.

The children had a fantastic time and were a credit to the school. Here are some pictures of our adventure.

Dunstable's College

On the 20th of October, the children got to visit Dunstable's college to learn about different career possibilities. The pupils had to choose between 4 sectors : Sport and public services, health, catering and IT. During the day, they got the opportunity to do the same activities that a student from the college would do. Everyone was very satisfied at the end of the day.

Here are some pictures of the pupils that chose  to spend the day at the IT sector:

Sponsored Run for Children in Need

On the 17th of November, the pupils ran to raise money for Children in Need. Here are some pictures of the event. Congratulations to all the runners for their efforts!
